Vanessa Bryant Praises New Book Detailing The Legacy Of Kobe Bryant

Even though Kobe Bryant tragically passed away in a helicopter crash, he continues to build his legacy. Yesterday, Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s widow, shouted out to her late husband over a sports fantasy novel that went to number one on the New York Times Best Seller’s list.

Vanessa wrote, “5 championships, 5 NYT bestsellers. The Mamba strikes again.” Bryant went on to say that her husband would’ve been so proud to see the success of the book. The brand new novel isn’t the only thing Vanessa has celebrated over the last few weeks.

On the 4th of April, Vanessa and her daughter, Natalia, were thrilled to hear that Kobe would be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. In an interview, Vanessa shared that it was an incredible honor that she and her family were proud of.

People Magazine picked up on the interview in which Vanessa said it would’ve been great for Kobe to be here. She said it was the “peak of his NBA career.” As it was previously reported, Kobe died tragically in a helicopter crash that took his life, his daughter’s and seven other people.

On the 29th of January, CBS News reported that Kobe’s helicopter left the pad and crashed into the ground at high speeds. It killed everyone in the crash, all nine people. The coroner identified everyone’s body in the wreckage, including Kobe’s.

Reportedly, cellphone video showed Bryant’s helicopter driving around the Burbank Airport before they slammed into the ground at high speeds. A National Transportation Safety Board member stated it was a “high-energy impact crash.” Additionally, she said to CBS News that the helicopter was in “one piece” when it fell to the ground.

Tragically, the helicopter wasn’t far from their destination. Before pushing the helicopter up 2,300 feet into the air, Ara Zobayan, the pilot, asked the air traffic controller where they were on the radar but it was too hard to tell due to how low they initially were.

The death of Kobe was one of the biggest losses of 2020, and his passing was commemorated by what appeared to be the whole world.
